The client was looking to maximise his borrowing against the purchase whilst keeping the loan interest-only and securing a low rate.
The client was looking for a number of factors, a low longer-term fixed-rate, competitive arrangement fees, and a lender who would take his partnership income into account, which had risen significantly in the most recent year.
Fox Davidson were able to secure a five-year fixed-rate at 1.62% with a £1,999 lender arrangement fee.
This loan was arranged at 70% loan-to-value against a purchase price of £10 million, and the whole mortgage was arranged on an interest-only basis, allowing the client maximum flexibility with his finances moving forward.
